We provide training options for people with differing experience levels

Based on detailed research and feedback, Horse Muscle Care now offer students what we believe to be leading, hands on muscle therapy training courses.

Horse Muscle Care (HMC) provides training in the process involved with HMC treatments for horse owners, riders and therapists looking to expand their specialist skills.

There are currently three levels of training in order to become a certified Horse Muscle Care Therapist.

Online Essentials Training – Certificate and Essentials 2 – Practitioner

  • A necessary introduction to the work for those wishing to become Horse Muscle Care Therapists
  • Points required to complete a basic treatment
  • How to relax horses after competition or hard work
  • Basic safety and horse handling skills
  • Assessment skills
  • Free downloadable field notes to use during treatments
  • Runs over 12 weeks to fit easily into your lifestyle

You can begin the Online Training any time you wish

Practical One

  • A tool for the toolbox (adjunct to other therapies)

 Electives

There are various electives that need to be completed inline with the level you are training at;  These include but are not limited to Hoof Care, Saddle Fit, Dental and Basic Anatomy. These can be studied during or after your Online and Practical study as above. If you already completed training in these areas, we are happy to consider Recognition of Prior Learning documents.

Revision Days

We can never emphasise enough the importance of revision to not just fine tune the process but to pick up valuable information and changes the therapy itself may have undergone. Once you have completed a level of training, you are always welcome to return for revision.
